How do I know if the on hold equipment you are offering is professional and reliable
for my business?
|
All the equipment & systems offered by Evolved Sound have been designed and tested specifically for
the purpose they are proposed for. Our on hold systems are all fully
digital with no moving parts and provide flexible updating options. Look
out for companies offering domestic technology that may run on a battery, be difficult to operate or update, while also missing critical features for long term reliability
and excellent sound quality.

Will your equipment work with my phone system?
|
|
Providing your phone system has the
ability to place callers on hold and / or currently has an audio device (such as
a CD player or radio) running for on hold – then you're ready to go. If this
is the case, then all the on hold systems offered by Evolved Sound will easily work with your
phone system.
If your organisation is not running a PBX / PABX
multi line phone system, but instead just a single line telephone, you can still
enable your telephone for on hold by connecting one of our single line on hold
modules. Contact us if you need further details about this device.
If you upgrade your phone system or move
offices, you will still be able to use your on hold system, providing the new phone
system is still on hold compatible.

How many on hold message updates are right for my business?
|
|
There is no simple answer to this question. Some businesses may choose not to update their on hold
messages often at all, while others understand the benefits and
importance of having fresh and changing messages and may update monthly,
quarterly or a few times per year.
As a general guide, if the products, services and information that is presented to
your customers constantly changes, it would be advisable to update your on hold
messages in accordance with these changes. This will ensure your total message is
consistent across all facets of your business.
Running the same message for too long can easily become a little stale or out of date. At a minimum, your on hold messages should be updated
2 to 3 times per year. It is particularly important to undertake more frequent
updates if many of the same callers are regularly placed on hold.
|
|
How long will my messages go for?
|
|
Our standard on hold recording service is based on one typed A4 page, which
consists of 6 to 10 messages averaging 15 to 30 seconds in length. This
equates to a total running time of between 4 to 5 minutes,
once the full mix has been produced.
|
|
When the message reaches the end will it automatically start again?
|
Yes. In the case of our digital on hold players, when your message reaches the end,
it will automatically loop back and commence from the start again. In the case of our
on hold software system, the messages being played can be prioritised more
randomly or with message specific rotations.
|
|
Which part of the message will the caller hear?
|
For example if you had 3 callers on hold, all 3 callers will be hearing the same
instance of the message at the same given time. Callers being placed on hold
will start hearing a random point within your entire recording. This is why recommend
that each message (segment) isn't too long. We are aware of some Voice Over
Internet Protocol (VOIP) and other more advanced phone systems which can have
the caller hear the beginning of your recorded message when they are placed on
hold.
|
|
Can I play different messages to different callers or split the message to
different parts our company?
|
This option would be subject to the technical capability of your phone system,
however this is very uncommon amongst phone systems we have encountered. Evolved Sound would be more
than happy to work with you to achieve this multiple message strategy if your
phone system is capable of achieving this.
